The Strike-Slip Fault Effects on Tight Ordovician Reef-Shoal Reservoirs in the Central Tarim Basin (NW China)

چکیده
The largest carbonate condensate field in China has been found the central Tarim Basin. Ordovician reservoirs are generally attributed to reef-shoal microfacies along a platform margin. However, recent production success achieved NE-trending strike-slip fault zones that intersect at For this contribution, we analyzed effects on by using new geological, geophysical, and data. Seismic data shows some faults intersected NW-trending margin multiple segments. research indicated development of affected prepositional landforms subsequent segmentation varied In addition, compartmentalized into segments extent We show fractured complexes favorable for dissolution porosity damage zones. tight matrix (porosity < 6%, permeability 0.5 mD), could be increased more than 2–5 times 1–2 orders magnitude zone, respectively. This suggests high wells correlated with “sweet spots” zones, proximity activity might major target commercial exploitation deep carbonates.

Structural evidence on strike slip Kinematic inversion of the Kushk-e-Nosrat Fault zone, Central Iran
NW-tending faults in Central Iran are expected to represent dominant dextral components due to their orientation with respect to the northward motion of the Arabian Plate with respect to Eurasia. However, previously published works, as well as the focal mechanism solution of the area's earthquakes, indicate evidence of sinistral kinematic along the major faults in Central Iran. Here we present ...
متن کاملthe effects of changing roughness on the flow structure in the bends
flow in natural river bends is a complex and turbulent phenomenon which affects the scour and sedimentations and causes an irregular bed topography on the bed. for the reason, the flow hydralics and the parameters which affect the flow to be studied and understand. in this study the effect of bed and wall roughness using the software fluent discussed in a sharp 90-degree flume bend with 40.3cm ...

We studied a suite of 40 oils and extracts of purported source rocks from the Tarim basin in NW China. The main group of oils comes from Tazhong and Tabei wells, which sample the largest known petroleum accumulations in the basin. These oils can be statistically correlated with extracts of Ordovician rocks based upon high relative concentrations of 24-isopropylcholestanes and low relative conce...
